INTRODUCTION TO PHLEBOTOMY COURSE for Aesthetic Therapists - Accredited and Nationally Recognised
Learn how to take blood … train as a Phlebotomist.
Phlebotomy is a “stand-alone” healthcare job – the NHS as well as GP Surgeries, Healthcare Practices and many other organisations employ phlebotomists throughout the UK. Hours are usually very flexible with more part time than full times jobs.
Phlebotomists are now also in high demand for many beauty salons. Salons employing Aesthetic Therapists and offering blood-related treatments (such as vampire facials – PRP treatments – Collagen Induction Therapy) need to employ or train their own staff to take client’s blood. Salons are now also offering “well-person” screens to determine if their client will benefit from a therapeutic IV Drip (see also Peripheral IV Cannulation Course).
Achieving our phlebotomy qualification therefore gives you two options – healthcare employment opportunities or salon work.
No previous knowledge or experience needed.
The course consists of two parts:
Part 1 is theory and completed online on any device (mobile phone, tablet, kindle, laptop etc.). Online learning is supported with a wide range of downloadable student resources to help you throughout.
Download a certificate as soon as you have completed this part.
Part 2 required a full day classroom attendance (9.30am – 5.00pm). You will practice on artificial arms (and fake blood) and will train up to the point of a live blood draw.
With 78 UK & Eire training locations there is likely to be a classroom near you!
The course is accredited at Level 3 (advanced level) and awards a nationally recognised qualification.
