Our awarding body awards you a UK Accredited Certificate and acceptability is entirely at the discretion of your employer or organisation. In many cases our students are looking to enhance their existing professional skills to use outside of the UK or have no local training facilities that can match our extensive training itinerary.

Which certificate option is best for me?We offer you a number of options. i) DIGITAL CERTIFICATE (Abbini Training): If you choose this option we will email a link or a copy of your certificate to you within 7 working days. This option is ideal if you are looking for work and need a digital copy (pdf file) to send on to prospective employers. Your Abbini Training certificate will list all accreditations awarded and the standards you have attained, each course status and full course title. There is no charge for this option. ii) POSTED CERTIFICATE (Abbini Training): This is a printed copy of your digital certificate, produced on a tamper-proof certificate paper and provides you with a signed and authenticated copy of your digital certificate. There is a printing, admin and postage charge of £10.00 for this option. iii) POSTED CERTIFICATE (OCN): This certificate is awarded not by us but by our awarding body - OCN Credit4Learning. A certificate is awarded for each course, carries a hologram and is numbered. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Unfortunately digital copies of these certificates are not available. There is a registration, admin and postage charge of £25.00 for this option. We would recommend that you initially choose the digital certificate option. You then have the option, at any time after completing your course to request a posted certificate (Abbini Training) or posted certifcate (OCN) as and when you might need a printed copy. The additional certificate cost will be as originally specified when you booked your course(s).

Which course or courses are best for me?If you are new to Aesthetic Therapy and have no phlebotomy experience (to draw your client's blood) then we would recommend our combined Introduction to Phlebotomy & Collagen Induction Therapy course package. This will then award you two nationally recognised and accredited qualifications at Level 3 and Level 4. Level 4 is the minimum qualifcation required to perform minimally invasive aesthetic procedures using a needle depth of up to 0.5mm. If you already have previous phlebotomy experience or do not plan to be the person drawing your client's blood then you will only need to complete our Collagen Induction Therapy Course. To further add to your treatment portfolio we now also offer an Advanced Phlebotomy and Cannulation Course. With advanced phlebotomy experience you can add POC (point of care) testing to your list of services and with cannulation experience you can add IVNT treatments (intravenous therapies). Please don't hesitate to email or call us for advise if you are not sure which option is best for you.

Please call us on 020 3290 4774 or email info@abbini.com for further details.
-
Can I book a place now and pay later?Yes, you can reserve your place on our course with a single deposit payment, which guarantees your place. You can then choose to pay the balance in 3 instalment payments and spread the cost at your convenience. Your last instalment payment must be no later than 14 days prior to the course start date. Please call us on 020 3290 4774 to discuss payment options or complete a Booking Form.
-
How do I prepare for the course? Each course is divided into 2 parts - an online (elearning) part (Part 1 - theory) and a classroom part (Part 2 - practical skills). You must complete Part 1 before attending Part 2. Some of your courses also require the completion of a Home Study Pack to prepare you for the classroom. Within your booking confirmation you will receive links to complete this extra study and this should also be completed before attending. Completion of additional (non-classroom) study will boost the number of "nominal learning hours" for each segment of your course and will add to the number of credits you are awarded. We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time. The venue reception staff will guide you to our training room(s) and you will also see signage for "Abbini Training or Geopace Training". Don't forget to bring a notepad and pen!
-
What else do I need to know before attending?i) When booking our Introduction to Phlebotomy Course the practical sessions involve examining and identifying the main veins in your arm and therefore if you can wear a t-shirt or short-sleeved top it will help you. ii) Please make sure you attend the correct venue! Your Booking Confirmation, emailed to you, will contain the exact location. If at any time you are not sure please call us. We can re-email (or post) your booking confirmation on request. iii) On arrival at the training location reception staff will guide you to the training room(s) or you will see signage for "Abbini Training or Geopace Training".
-
When does the course start and finish? How many breaks will I get?Our classroom courses run over one full day with a start time of 9.30am (prompt) and finish time is around 5.00pm. We will have a morning and afternoon break of around 15 minutes, and a lunchtime break of usually 45-60 minutes. Please note that end of day timings are approximate and may over or under-run by up to 30 minutes.
-
Will I be expected to take notes? We recommend that you take notes as you work through the course although this is not essential and entirely up to you. It may, however, help you when you complete the multiple-choice quizzes (at the end of most modules). Your course is supported with a number of information sheets and other resource material which your tutor will hand out during the course and for you to keep.
-
Will the course be mainly classroom-based?Although you are based in a classroom for the duration of your course there will be a good mix of presentations, demonstrations and plenty of practical based sessions allowing you to look at, handle and practise using the equipment. Many venues have "break-out" areas and you will, in most cases, have the opportunity to help yourself to tea and coffee in the non-classroom areas.
-
I booked a course. When will I receive a booking confirmation? When you book a course online you will receive two email confirmations - one automated email confirms your credit or debit card payment (direct from our Credit/Debit Card Provider) and one from ourselves (usually within 24-48 hours). If you have not received either of these then there is a possibility that these emails may have either been diverted into your "junk/spam" folder, or that you have inadvertently mis-spelt your email address during the booking process. If you have received one, but not the other, then the missing email is almost certainly sitting in your spam folder. This frequently happens with "free" email accounts such as hotmail. If, after checking your spam/junk folder, you still cannot find your booking confirmation, or would like a replacement email sent, please call us on 020 3290 4774 or email info@abbini.com If you have booked by telephone then your booking confirmation should be with you within 1-2 working days. Alternatively, if you would prefer your booking details to be posted to you, then please email or call us stating at which address you would like to receive them.
-

Please note that a £20.00 transfer and admin charge applies for each course transfer.
-
I am unable to attend on the dates booked. What do I do now?If you are able to give us more than 21 days notice then you can transfer your booking to any other course date and/or location, subject to availability. A nominal transfer fee applies. If you are giving us less than 21 days notice then we can tranfer your booking if you have a medical event or emergency preventing you from attending. For full details please see our Terms & Conditions.
-
How do I find information on my course location?Your classroom training location will be included within your Booking Confirmation. Please call us if you would like more information or to clarify the exact location.
-

Is there an exam to sit?None of our courses have exams! You will therefore not be expected to sit any formal examinations. Your online course (Part 1) includes multiple choice questions and answers for you to complete before moving on to the next module. When you attend the classroom course (Part 2) you will have already passed all theory elements of your course and any additional assessments will be based only on your practical performance. The module Q&As and the supplementary support material is designed to help you gain the points needed to pass the course.

When will I receive my certificate? For all accredited courses: If you have selected the digital certificate option then your certificate(s) will be emailed to you once our tutors have completed their compliancy obligations and processed all paperwork associated with your attendance. Please allow 7-10 working days. If you have selected the printed certificate option then please add a further 3-5 working days to the digital certificate lead time. If you have selected a printed certificate (OCN) then please allow 6-8 weeks. However if you have a job interview coming up and have not yet received your certificate we can provide you with an email to confirm your successful completion and to confirm your award status.

-
What benefits will an Accredited Certificate be to me?The successful completion of our accredited courses culminates in the awarding of an OCN (Open College Network) Accredited and Nationally Recognised Certificate for each course. Additionally, our phlebotomy training course is dually accredited with CPD. An accredited course (from any training provider) will have been subjected to a number of stringent processes before being presented before a panel of experts for scrutiny. This expert assessment will either allow for accreditation or the course will be disallowed and return to the provider for further changes. When booking an accredited course you can be assured that the course has been properly and competently evaluated. Always ensure you book accredited courses. Some providers will issue a Certificate of Completion. This is provider issued and has no national recognition.
-
Will I be able to work on a self-employed (freelance) basis? Many Aesthetic Therapists will work "solo", offering a service to their clients on a freelance or self-employed basis. You will need to budget for some basic equipment and supplies (consumables) as well as advertising / social media and insurance. If you have also completed our phlebotomy training course then you will have the added opportunity of having a skill-set in high demand by hospitals, GP surgeries and many other healthcare organisations. Most phlebotomists do not work on a self-employed basis. If you have decided to add qualifications from our associated healthcare training provider, Geopace Training, then you may also have qualifcations in healthcare, end of life (palliative) care, neonatal and paediatric phlebotomy and other specialities. The majority of healthcare / carer positions within the UK are for part-time or full time PAYE positions, usually working within hospitals, clinics and surgeries on an employee (PAYE) basis. If you do decide to start on your own then you will find the following Start-Up guide available on the HMRC website here: www.hmrc.gov.uk/courses/syob2/syob2/index.htm
