Covers all essential theory and skill-set development to meet medical standards

Blood test types, collection systems, consent, legal requirements, blood composition, preventing collection and analytical errors.

No other course required to draw blood from clients (consenting adults)

Leads onto cannulation course if required
Safely and competently draw blood from clients

Understand the correct procedures to harvest plasma and isolate other blood components
​
Know which bottle types to use for different blood tests
​
Offer clients well-person screens and specific blood test profiles

Offer general phlebotomy services
